Manufacturing power line transmission tubular towers on behalf of Hydro-Québec

In 2017, Fabspec helped with the construction of a 735 kV 400 km line on behalf of Hydro-Québec between Chamouchouane Station in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Bout-de-l’Île Station, in Montréal, Québec.

The project consisted of twelve (12) tubular power line transmission gantry type towers, anchorage casings and pile, totaling 800 tons of galvanized and painted steel components.

Each tower weighed between 50 and 70 tons with masts ranging from 46 to 60 meters (150 to 200 feet) and were manufactured at our industrial site in Tracy.
